Description:: We start this paper by investigating the sequencing of the transition towards a market economy (the alternative of a shock versus a more gradual therapy). Then we go on to stabilization and recession as necessery phenomena during tranistion from a a command towards a market economy. The relation between stabilization policy and growth is analysed in the next chapter. Finally we will devote some thoughts to ideological matters. (Auszug S. 3)
