'B complete the research questionnaire, 19 from Empire Life and 170 from Queen's. Thirty-four Queen's employees explicitly decided against participating, most giving reasons of work load or protection of privacy. All those who agreed to participate read and signed a consent form. (See Appendix E.) Of the 189 questionnaires released, 132 were returned, for a return rate of 70%. However, 12 of those were incomplete and could not be used. Of the 120 subjects whose responses were included in the study, 60 were males, 60 females. The mean age was 37.2 years (SD = 12.60), with a range from 17 to 67. In terms of highest educational achievement, 3.3% had completed primary school, 9.2% had had some secondary schooling, 24.2% had completed secondary schooling, 20% had completed technical school, 13.3% had had some university experience, 12.5% had completed a university degree, and 15% reported post-graduate schooling. Males were, On average, nine years older than the females and had slightly higher educational achievement.
