Dear Sir,
Nr.Mugh Gaitskell, University College, London, was
s0 kind to give me your address. I am an economist of the
Viennese circle and was appointed at the Austrian Institute
for trade cycle research. The Institute lost its independence
and I. was given leave two weeks ago; it must be decided after
a short time if I shall keep my position or not. I can judge
the situation perfectly well and I know certainly that I
hall not return to the Tnstitute. I am therefore looking for
3 position abroad that would enchble me to carry on scientific
ind independent work. If you should be in & position to do
anything for me I would be very obliged to von. I include
a curriculum vitae and I hope that I have not ommitted anv
detsiles which may be relevent for vou. 1 farther include
letters of recommendation from Prof. Feyek and Prof. Strigl
Should vou require references in addition to those lettsrs
please apply to the following addresses:
0.Vorgens tern, Carnegiz Endowment, 405,W 117th Street Mew Tork Dity
Prof.L.v.Nises, 5, rue du pin, Geneva.
Dr.P. Rosenstein-Rodan, Tniversity Collegs, Gowerstreet, London
I think that a pest at an economic research
institute or =nv job that would imply work on some economic or
socinzl survey or envthing like this wonld be most appropriate
for me. I am of course readv to toke anv other job that mav be
available for me.
Under senarate cover I send vou a convr of mv article
