RANKING CRITERTIA OF OWNERSHIP 
Now, consider these statements as arguments or 
justifications that someone might give for owning something. 
Judge how strong each of these would be as arguments for 
ownership in general. Use the following scale, with a low 
value meaning a weaker argument and high value meaning a 
stronger argument, 
l=vERY WEAK 2=WEAK 
3=FAIR 4=STRONG 5=VERY STRONG 
KNOWLEDGE: I own it because I can describe it in detail. 
CRAFTING: I own it because I made it. _ 
ASSERTION: I own it because I say its mine. _ 
DESIRE: I own it because I want it. 
UTILITY: I own it because I use it routinely. 
AESTHETIC: I own it because I really like it. 
TERRITORIALITY: I own it because It's in my desk or room 
or apt or home. _ 
PURCHASE : I own it because I paid for it. 
HISTORY: I own it because 1've had it a long time. 
POSSESSION: I own it because I've got it. 
FAMILIARITY: I own it because I am accustomed to it. 
GIFT: I own it because It was given to me,
