The WU University Library offers unrestricted full-text access to some of the digitized materials from the estates of Kurt W. Rothschild and Josef Steindl. These materials are also available for download free of charge.

For the further use and processing of the freely available digital materials, please note the usage rights indicated along with the bibliographic details of the respective item and our notes on use in publications.

These materials may only be used or copied with the author’s/copyright holder’s express, written permission. On-site use of the Josef Steindl and Kurt W. Rothschild archives

Online access to digital full-text documents and personal data is restricted for some of the copyrighted works and materials that are subject to special protection under privacy law (letters, manuscripts).

However, you can freely browse all of our digital files on-site without any restrictions after signing the applicable terms of use and a mandatory application for access to the materials. Due to reasons of preservation and conservation, the hard-copy originals are not available for use.
